Isn't it interesting how helping someone has transformed from a genuine act of kindness to something that has attached an expectation? I've seen it in the corporate world, "Hey, I'll help you. If you help me." It's the way of the world now, and we can't change that but we can reignite authentic helping.
Today's resolution is simple. Help someone who can't help you. Whether it'd be taking the time to hold the door for someone, donating unused clothes, sparing some change to a homeless person, or helping a friend/family member with something, let's bring back the goodness from people without any attachments.
Do it because you want to do it. Not because you hope that one day that person will help you in return.
