This time of year is magical for some, but tough for others. Being alone is not easy, but the silver-lining to loneliness that this is a time of exploration, reflection, growth and change.
Some people purposefully choose solitude where others crave and need to be around people all the time. A healthy balance is ideal where one can stand on their own two feet and feel comfortable being alone while enjoying the company of others.
Being alone is based on perception and perspective. Is your glass half empty or half full?
I will be officially divorced in December, and because I did the inner-work, this may yet be the best holiday season to come...standing in solitude and celebrating being in the driver's seat of my life. I choose what I want to do and where I want to go all being thankful for every opportunity that comes my way.
