Endings and beginnings and destruction and creation are often seen as two separate events when in reality they are one. What goes down must go up. It's a part of life. When you think you've hit the end, it's actually the beginning to something new. This doesn't mean that obstacles will disappear, but rather you are stepping foot onto a new path. Free will and choice plays a role in our beginnings. Many people get caught in the rut and give up at the end of the road. But, for those who perserve past life challenges, will one day be rewarded - when the time is right.
